These pictures are the condition of craftsmen village in Malang, Indonesia. From Jakarta it takes one hour by plane and 17 hours by train. They use stoneware clay and high fired glaze. The product that they made were mostly by slip cast technique. They were really experts in making molds, from little ones until a big one such as vessel which is 1 meter high. But mostly they produce souvenirs, with the big one as occasionally done. Because the policy of Indonesian government for conversion of gas to LPG, many factories got bankrupt. Today by time to time with government support they begin to exist again.
